The Holiday Project
Every year, local nursing homes and hospitals contact us requesting that we organize groups of volunteers to visit their residents and patients. In some geographic areas, Holiday Project volunteers already organize Visit Teams. (See a list of geographic areas that host Visits.) But in many other geographic areas, The Holiday Project does not have volunteers.
Start a Visit Team in your Geographic Area
If there is no Visit Team in your geographic area, you can start one by offering to be a Visit Team Leader.
What Visit Team Leaders Do
Visit Team Leaders are the visit hosts. They do the following:
Visit Team Leaders start by reading the Visit Team Leader Guidelines. In some geographic areas, Visit Team Leaders may have the option to be trained in person. In other areas, it is done over the phone.
